What kind of paints do you use on your glasses?
We use only high quality artist paints that are non-toxic and heat cured. With proper care, your glassware can last you a lifetime.

Are glass items washable?
Yes. An acrylic enamel paint is used and then heat cured to ensure durability. Items are hand washable. We suggest washing with a soft cloth to avoid scratching. Do not allow items to soak in water. Each order will arrive with a care card.

Will the paint scratch off of the glass?
It can. We use an acrylic enamel paint that is baked to cure it. It is very similar to the paint on your car.... if you hit it hard enough, it will scratch. Handle with care.

I'd like to purchase more than one of a particular item. How do I do that?
Once your shopping cart opens, there is a box on the right side of each item. Just change the number in the box and click the "change quanitity" button. If an error appears on the screen indicating the quantity is not available, please send us an e-mail. We'd be happy to make a custom order for the number you are needing.

What types of payment do you accept?
We accept PayPal for all transactions.

I do not currently have a PayPal account and don't wish to open one. Is that a problem?
Not a problem. You will have the option to use your credit/debit card or make an eCheck payment through PayPal without an account.

Will you send me an order acknowledgement?
Yes. You will receive an order acknowledgement shortly after your order is placed from eCrater. We will also send you an acknowledgement when payment is received and when the order has shipped.

What is the web site's privacy policy?
No personal information such as names, e-mail addresses or credit card information will ever be shared with other individuals or other web sites.

How much do you charge for a custom order?
That depends on what you wish to be painted. It's all about the time it would take to design and paint/create the item. Please be as specific as you can when sending the initial e-mail. Once we have all the specifics, we can give you a price.

Can you send me a picture of what it will look like?
Since it's a new custom order, painted just for you - we don't have a picture of what it will look like. It has not yet been created.

Can I order special colors or quantities?
Yes, we are happy to customize almost any order to the customer's specifications. Please send us an e-mail explaining what you would like. We will do our best to respond in a timely manner to your requests.

Can items be personalized?
Yes, we can add names, dates, etc. to most of our hand painted glassware items for no additional fee.

How long will it take to create my order?
Most items are painted to order. Depending on the time of year, this could be up to 2 weeks. Generally, it is 7 days or less. We will let you know in your order acknowledgement how long it will take to create your order.

I need it quicker than that! Is there any way to expedite the process?
If you need your glass in a hurry, please order an item that is in stock (not custom ordered or personalized). Otherwise, please contact us prior to placing your order. We can sometimes place a "rush" on the painting process.

I want my purchase shipped directly to the recipient. How do I enter that information with PayPal?
No problem! During the PayPal check out, use the "ship to" address. You can also send us an e-mail.

I'd like to enclose a note with my purchase. How would I do that?
No problem. Just send us an e-mail with the contents of the note.

I'd like to have my purchase gift wrapped with a card. Can you do that?
We'd be happy to gift wrap your purchase and enclose a card. The charge is $7.50 per item. Please notify us so that the total due can be adjusted.

Rest assured, there is never a price on our packing slips.

Shipping
Once payment is received, work will begin on your item OR it will be shipped within 2 business days if the item is in stock. Custom orders or items that are not in stock will ship within 5-10 business days, unless we made other arrangements during the ordering process. Please be aware that along with the 5-10 business days it takes to create your order, there is shipping time as well. In order to keep shipping costs low, orders are shipped through the US Postal Service. At this time we ship only within the continental United States. Please realize that the shipping rates are for shipping & handling... postage plus the cost of shipping materials. All orders are carefully packaged in a sturdy box, wrapped in bubble wrap and/or packing paper to prevent any damage to your items. We are not responsible for any lost or damaged merchandise. We do not offer insurance but do recommend it. If you would like to add insurance for $1.85, please contact us so that we can adjust the shipping cost.

Packing Materials
While our cardboard boxes are always new, whenever possible we reuse packaging materials. It's just our way of being "green" and helps to reduce waste. It also helps keep our costs down, in turn keeping costs down to you!

Do you combine shipping?
Yes, we offer combined shipping. eCrater however, does not. If you pay the shipping, we will gladly refigure your order when it's ready to ship out and credit your PayPal account for the difference.

Sorry, at this time we ship only to addresses within the continental United States.

Returns
We are not set up to take returns. Unless a product is flawed or misrepresented, we do not take returns. Please love our item before purchasing so you are not disappointed. Please feel free to ask any questions to make your purchase more comfortable.

Holiday Ordering
Since most orders are painted to order, holiday orders should be placed 1 month prior to the holiday. If it is after that date, please contact us regarding availability of an item.
